Nyala - Jagranch

Nyala

Nyala bulls have a magnificent charcoal grey coat with thin white stripes, a mane along the bottom of their neck and along dorsal crest and white markings on their face and throat.  The Nyala is one of the several spiral horned antelope native to the African continent, including its cousins the bushbuck, kudu and sitatunga.  A mature Nyala bull will grow horns exceeding 24” inches and weigh as much as 300 pounds.   Females and their young will travel in small groups while mature bulls are loners except during the rut.  A mature Nyala bull makes a magnificent trophy and they provide delicious table fare.
